Around 1896 the Société Utzschneider et Cie. opened an art studio specifically for the production of artistic ceramics. The studio was named after the town of Revernay, where the director of the Digoin earthenware factory lived.
The first vases were exhibited at the World Exhibition of 1900 in Paris. After WW1 the atelier was expanded and there also was a catalogue The vases were numbered to form and décor. Ultimately the atelier has been discontinued in 1930.
