Coffee Cup Art Déco, Friedrich Kästner
Coffee cup decorated with stylized feather decor in black and gilding, Friedrich Kästner, Oberhohndorf (Zwickau), 1920s.
The Friedrich Kästner porcelain factory in Oberhohndorf near Zwickau produced from 1882 to 1971.
Of particular importance for the company was the collaboration with the designer Professor Artur Hennig in the 1920s. The factory reached its artistic peak with Hennig's avant-garde tableware designs and was one of the most innovative porcelain factories in Germany at the time.
