Georg Arthur Jensen (* 31 August 1866 - Raadvad/Copenhagen - † 2 October 1935) was a Danish silversmith and manufacturer of renowned silverware.

He founded the company Georg Jensen Sølvsmedie in Copenhagen in 1904 and achieved worldwide recognition. To this day, the name Georg Jensen stands for high-quality Danish design.

Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen (1886 - 1960), Danish architect and designer, worked for the Georg Jensen silversmiths from 1927 to 1931.

During this time, he designed the Parallel cutlery, also known as Relief, for Georg Jensen. The design dates from 1931 and the piece was manufactured between 1933 and 1944. Today, it is a sought-after collector's item.
