Jean Gouweloos (1868 - 1943), painter, draftsman and lithographer, was a member of the "Voorwaarts" group and the avant-garde group "Le Sillon" and regular participant in the Brussels and Paris salons. He is represented in museums in Antwerp, Kortrijk, Liège, Mons.
