The Dane Bjørn Wiinblad worked as chief designer for Rosenthal AG for almost 50 years from 1957.

As a painter, designer, visual artist and professor of design at Boston University, he turned to ceramics in the 1940s.

His works can be seen in museums in Denmark, Stockholm, Sweden, Germany, Italy and in the Museum of Modern Art.
