The company AlbAlboth & Kaiser was founded in 1872 by August Alboth in Coburg.
The company brand alka-kunst was introduced in 1925, after the family names of the then owners Alboth & Kaiser. In 1970, the Alka brand was renamed Kaiser Porzellan. The company has been trading under this name ever since. Its headquarters are in Bad Staffelstein.
