Axel Gabriel Dufva 

Axel Gabriel Dufva (1822-1897) came from a family of goldsmiths and founded his own company for the production of silver-plated metal goods in Stockholm in 1847. This factory was one of the first of its kind in Sweden and one of the oldest in Europe. 

His sons Harald Gabriel and John Helmer continued his company until Dufva was taken over in 1936.
